Bringing Generations Together...

Kim

What do you do at the Penlee Family Project?

“I am one of the founder Directors and I have a lead role overseeing the Baby work at Penlee.”

What do you like about working for the Penlee Family Project?

“I really love this job. I have been involved at Penlee from the very beginning in 2010 in a Directors role and over time supporting and leading different projects and groups within Penlee. I really like the variety of work we do and enjoy meeting and working with different generations within our community. I enjoy still delivering Baby Massage and working alongside the Baby Practitioners creating activities and groups that parents have sought and shown a need for. I really like the way Penlee promotes friendship, accountability and fairness for the multigenerational groups they work with in our community.”

Can you say a little bit about your prior experience and qualifications?

“I have a background in nursing and teaching and also have my own Children’s Day Nursery. I am also qualified in Baby Massage. I have really valued my understanding of the needs of new parents and how relationships, a feeling of belonging and the exchange of evidence based information can support them in their parenting journey.”

What do you like to do when not working at the Penlee Family Project?

“Spending time with my grandchildren, walking with my dog Bruce, listening to music and cooking.”
